I began my career as a U.S. Navy Deep Sea Diver, an experience that not only shaped who I am but also provided me with invaluable educational opportunities and a solid foundation in technical skills. The Navy gave me a sense of discipline and purpose that I carry with me today, and I truly feel that I owe the service a debt that can never be repaid.
After my time in the military, I transitioned into commercial diving and hyperbaric medicine, but it was during the quiet periods between jobs that I found myself helping neighbors with home repairs and renovations. When my oldest son was born, I decided to shift gears and pursue home remodeling full-time. This career move allowed me to stay closer to home and be the kind of father I always wanted to be.
In 1999, I founded Bettendorf Home Repair with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide high-quality, reliable home repairs to my friends, family, and neighbors. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a thriving business with 20 full-time team members, proudly serving over 700 clients each year here in the Quad Cities.
As my son grew, he became more involved in the business and eventually took on a larger role in the day-to-day operations. With the next generation of leadership in place, I’ve found a new avenue to serve my community through real estate. After earning my Real Estate license, I joined the Ruhl & Ruhl family of Realtors. With over 30 years of experience in home repair and remodeling, I bring a unique perspective to real estate sales, helping clients understand the true value of a property — not just in terms of location, but in terms of its potential and condition.
I’m excited about the opportunity to combine my knowledge of home construction with my passion for helping people find their perfect home. Whether you’re buying, selling, or looking for expert advice, I’m here to assist you every step of the way.
